Little Box
This unique box made of zebrawood features carved indents to lift the lacewood top. Finished in lacquer, this is a custom piece.
The Back Door
A before look at a tired entrance door.
The Back Door
The new door without casings. This is a fiberglass entry door.
The Front Door
Another tired entrance door. Before.
The Front Door
The new entrance door, during installation. This is a fiberglass door.
Tile Repair
Proper subfloor preparation is critical. This issue began with too thin of an underlayment that was fastened with staples and hope.
Tile Repair
There are a lot of screws, but more is better in this instance. Ceramic tile does not want to move.
Side Deck
The stairs partially detached from the midway landing and upper platform. Luckily no one was hurt. This deck was framed onto landscape pavers and was in a state of partial collapse.
Side Deck
This is the project after Mad Dog Demolition removed the worst portion of the deck. Not only is the site left exceptionally clean, but its clear to see the lack of footings.
Side Deck
The six concrete footings have been poured and the pad is in place.
Side Deck
The finished product. All handrail edges were routed to ease the corners. Note the balusters are installed on the inside of the railing to prevent from pushing out, an often missed detail.
Side Deck
A beautiful back view of the deck.
A Bit of Stone
I fabricated and installed custom fence and laid the stone work.
Gardening
This raised bed planter is constructed from sturdy fir and finished with multiple coats of boiled linseed oil to ensure longevity. A custom height, black vinyl chain link fence was installed that included welded wire mesh to keep out rabbits.
Threshold
This oak threshold was custom milled and painstakingly scribed into place. Installed over concrete, the fasteners were hidden by plugs. The finish is multiple cats of lacquer.
Garage Shelving
This previously underused area had been heaped with items on top of a counter and sparce cabinets.
Garage Shelving
This massive shelving unit is constructed from 2x4 studs and 3/4" plywood. It is designed to hold weight and sized to specific storage bins.
Garage Shelving
These shelves are constructed using load rated fasteners and the plywood was thoroughly screwed down. I was able to climb these shelves and sit on top!
A Tired Gate
This gate had seen its better days. The goal was functionality knowing it will eventually be replaced.
A Tired Gate
All buttoned up. New framing has been installed and new hardware has been added. Cross bracing transfers weight to the bottom hinge instead of allowing the gate to sag.
Office Desk
An in progress picture. Apparently a painter fell through this desk and attempted a very amature repair. I found the desk at the point of collapse. All the dowel joints we drilled out and replaced with new dowels and epoxy. Broken wood screws were replaced and added to key joints for added strength.
Office Desk
The reassembled desk. I was able to save a beautiful desk that meant so much to this customer.
Railings
Before. This customer required railings along the deck and down the sidewall on both sides of the stair.
