Sandy Valley
This former Hunnewell residence is over 12,000 square feet. Working in concert with Mad Dog Demolition, special attention was given to save many historic aspects of this home. I was proud to work as project manager for the soft demo phase and continue my fifteen year relationship with Bob Chamberlain of Mad Dog.
Sandy Valley
One of a pair of built ins to be saved. The ornate scalloped plaster top section was made by a company in Boston. The goal was to remove them in one piece, with no damage.
Sandy Valley
The two built in cabinets, freestanding and ready for transport. They were surgically removed with no appreciable damage.

The view through to the front door.

Period architectural millwork, saved to be reused. The ballroom in the background was eventually filled floor to ceiling with demolition materials, as it was to be removed.
Sandy Valley
The carefully protected spiral stair in the main hall. The protection system used by Mad Dog Demolition is second to none.

These windows, along with several others, were removed to be salvaged.

Massive timber and steel construction frames the main building. An absolute joy to behold.
A Half House Gut
This is the second floor. Denailed, swept, and vacuumed. The work done by Mad Dog Demolition is a cut above the rest.
A Half House Gut
This was the kitchen looking into the dining room. This job was done efficiently in two stages. The heavy demo was completed followed by an intensive cleaning the concluded with complete vacuuming.
The Blue Arched Kitchen
We pitched trash out a second story window to a ground man as to not go through the home.
The Blue Arched Kitchen
Another view of this quaint kitchen. The tile was actually fake thin plastic!
